Interesting Fact 2: Rabbi Akiva's Father-in-Law

As I said yesterday, everyone knows that Rabbi Akiva's father-in-law was knows as Kalba Savua. However, did you know that according to the Gemara (Shabbat 147a) Rabbi Akiva had a father-in-law with a differnet name as well?

...it was Yehoshua ben Kapusai, father-in-law of Rabbi Akiva...

If this father-in-law is not the same person as Kalba Savua (see below) it would mean that Rabbi Akiva had three wives:
1. Unnamed wife, daughter of Yehoshua ben Kapusai
2. Unnamed wife (though named in Pirkei d'Rebbe Eliezer chapter 6 as Rachel), daughter of Kalba Savua
3. (Former) wife of Turnus Rufus, as mentioned in Avoda Zara 20a
(Look at Rashi on Nedarim 50b who explains:

If Rabbi Akiva was married to someone else before he married Rachel, it would explain how he went to learn Torah with his son at the age of 40:

(Pirkei D'Rebbe Eliezer chapter 6)

They said: He [Rabbi Akiva] was forty years old and had not learnt anything. Once he was standing next to a spring. He said, "Who hollowed out this rock?" They said to him, "The water, which constantly falls on it every day." They said to him, "Have you not learnt [the verse] "The waters wear out the stones" (Iyov 14:19)?" Imimediately Rabbi Akiva made a kal vachomer (a fortiori) argument to himself [and said]: Just as the soft [water] can carve the hard [rock], so the words of Torah which are as hard as iron, how much more so can they carve my heart which is flesh and blood.
Immediately he returned to learn Torah. He and his son went and sat with the teacher. He said, "Rabbi, teach me Torah." Rabbi Akiva held one said of the slate, and his son held the other side. [The teacher] wrote for him "aleph, bet" and he learned it. [Then he taught him] "aleph, tav" and he learned it. [Then he taught him] Torat Cohanim and he learned it. He continued learning until he knew the entire Torah

Having said all that, according to Tiferet Yisrael (on Yadaim 3:4) Rabbi Akiva only had two wives, and the father-in-law mentioned in Shabbat is the proper name of Kalba Savua. That was not his real name, but rather a descriptive nickname.

It seems to me that this Yehoshua [mentioned as father-in-law of Rabbi Akiva] is Yehoshua ben Kapus who was Rabbi Akiva's father-in-law (Shabbat 147a). It seems to me also that it was the actual name of Kalba Savua who was Rabbi Akiva's father-in-law (Ketubot 62b). His nickname was Kalba Savua because anyone who entered his home as hungry as a dog would leave when he was sated (Gitin 56a). It further seems to me that after his death the son of Rabbi Akiva was named Yehoshua after his grandfather, as is the custom. Therefore we find that Rabbi Akiva had a son named Yehoshua (Pesachim 112a and Shavuot 6a). But one cannot say that this Yehoshua was not Kalba Savua, but a different father-in-law of Rabbi Akiva, because we don't find that Rabbi Akiva had any other wives, apart from the daughter of Kalba Savua and after her the wife of the wicked Turnus Rufus who converted and married Rabbi Akiva (Avoda Zara 20a)
